NDIS & Private Disability Support
Household Assistance for People with Disability
Helping You Maintain a Clean, Safe & Comfortable Home
A clean, safe and well-organised home is the foundation of good health, wellbeing and independence. For people living with a disability, keeping on top of household tasks can be genuinely challenging and that’s exactly where SSS Support comes in.
We provide household tasks support for people with disability — available through NDIS funding (Registration Group 0120, Core Supports) and on a private basis for individuals and families who prefer to self-fund their domestic assistance. Our support workers deliver compassionate, professional help with everyday domestic duties, working around your routines and your preferences — not a generic checklist.

Private household support is also available for tasks that fall outside what the NDIS funds — such as larger cleaning jobs or tasks not directly related to a participant’s disability. Frequently Asked Questions
Can NDIS pay for someone to clean my house?
Yes — if your disability affects your ability to perform household tasks, you may be eligible for NDIS-funded household assistance under Registration Group 0120 (Household Tasks). This funding sits within your Core Supports budget and can cover cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, gardening and more. Contact SSS Support or your support coordinator to confirm what’s included in your plan.
What is included in NDIS household tasks support?
NDIS household tasks support (0120) can include general cleaning, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, laundry, rubbish disposal, changing bed linen, basic gardening and outdoor tidying, dishwashing and assistance with grocery shopping. The exact tasks funded depend on your individual NDIS plan and assessed needs.
How often can I get household support under NDIS?
The frequency of household support depends on the funding allocated in your NDIS plan. Some participants receive support weekly, others fortnightly or monthly. SSS Support works flexibly around your plan and schedule — contact us to discuss what frequency suits your needs.
Do your support workers clean the whole house or just specific areas?
We tailor our household support to your specific needs and NDIS plan. We can assist with your whole home or focus on particular areas — for example, a participant might only need bathroom cleaning and laundry support. We’ll work out exactly what’s needed during your initial consultation.
Do you provide household support if I’m not NDIS funded?
Yes. SSS Support offers household assistance on a private-pay basis for clients who are not yet on the NDIS, are waiting for plan approval, or simply prefer to self-fund their support. Contact us to discuss private rates and availability across Werribee and Melbourne.
Where does SSS Support provide household tasks support?
SSS Support provides household tasks support across western Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. Contact us to confirm availability in your specific area and discuss your support needs.
Can I get household tasks support without an NDIS plan?
Yes. SSS Support provides household assistance on a private-pay basis for individuals and families who are not yet on the NDIS, are waiting for plan approval, or prefer to self-fund. One-off and regular arrangements are both available. Contact us to discuss rates and scheduling.
Does the NDIS fund all types of household tasks?
The NDIS funds household tasks that are directly related to a participant’s disability and considered reasonable and necessary. This typically includes cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and grocery assistance. Tasks that are not related to a participant’s disability — or that any household member would reasonably be expected to do — may not be funded. Your support coordinator can clarify what’s covered in your specific plan.
Does a support worker do the tasks for me or with me?
It depends on the participant’s goals and capabilities. Some participants need tasks done for them; others prefer to be involved as much as possible while the support worker assists. SSS Support tailors the approach to each individual — if building household skills over time is a goal, we can work alongside you to develop those skills rather than just completing tasks on your behalf.
